Marmomacc is outlining a very ambitious project to promote the use of natural stone in American constructions.
The programme is being defined through prestigious collaborations with American universities. Training is the basis for the development of concepts associated with the special and intrinsic features of natural stone, such as durability. In this regard, the re-qualification of the exterior cladding of one of the most prestigious museums in the world - the Guggenheim in New York - was entrusted to an Italian company: Mapei.
VeronaFiere last November attended the inauguration ceremony of the "new" Guggenheim together with top management of Mapei. The next day saw staff ha Marmomacc hold several seminars dealing with the "sustainability" of marble involving architects registered for the Mapei event. The training proposal will be developed in 2009 through upgraded training courses focusing on natural stone held by professors of prestigious American universities. The intention to to promote the use of marble among materials with the best durability characteristics in the construction sector, within the scope of new standards currently being prepared in the USA.
